Supplies:
My favorite supplies include printer paper, or cardstock, markers, pencils, colored pencils, and a good printer. By keeping these on hand you will be well on your way to creating lapbooks with your kids. Offer some Microwave Popcorn as a post-assignment treat.
What is a Book vs. Movie Review?
Everyone knows that a book's author often lays out information differently than in the movie version. Movie adaptations can add fictionalized information to the story or leave out characters and complete storylines.
So, in this exercise, you are going to read the book and then watch the movie. Then, you'll complete this Book vs. Movie Review and if you'd like, you can also have discussions about the similarities and differences.

The review provides a place for students to record the information they have learned in the book and the movie in a more visually appealing and engaging manner. This process applies memory exercises and requires critical thinking.
