Dukes of Hazzard

Most folks remember General Lee from this classic series that ran between 1979 and 1985. However, Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) had an iconic ride of her own, and we’re not talking about her 1974 Plymouth Road Runner. Daisy’s 1980 Jeep CJ-7, with “Dixie” stenciled alongside the hood, graced the small screen for more than 100 episodes.

Jurassic Park

Arguably the most iconic vehicle on this list is the Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Jurassic Park. That is in no small part thanks to it being the vehicle in which Sam Neill’s famous reaction to a brachiosaurus takes place. It doesn’t hurt that Jeff Goldblum also utters one of the film’s most quotable lines in this red and gray Jeep—“Must go faster!”

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad’s Hank (Dean Norris) drives a Jeep Commander, which took quite a bit of abuse during the show’s run. Whether Tuco (Raymond Cruz) was shooting it or his cousins (Daniel and Luis Moncada) were, Hank’s ride has been a part of some of the series’ best moments—of which there are many.

The Bourne Supremacy

The Bourne Supremacy

Not even 15 minutes into The Bourne Supremacy, and we’re already on the edge of our seats. This 2004 sequel to Doug Liman’s The Bourne Identity opens with Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) and Marie (Franka Potente) living their new life in Goa.

Unfortunately, because of the arrival of Kirill (Karl Urban), Bourne must speed down the crowded streets in his 1992 Maruti Gypsy King ST.

Baywatch

Baywatch

It might be one of The Rock’s most forgettable movies, but Baywatch was a huge show back in the day. Along with their iconic runs, these lifeguards had their own Jeeps to drive them from plot point to plot point. These Jeeps were so famous that, at one time, Barbie had her own Baywatch Rescue Wheels playset complete with a yellow Jeep from the series.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

While previous movies Jeeps on this list were famous, this one is infamous. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’s classic Jeep is so recognizable because it’s on this vehicle that Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf) fights the film’s villain right before calling Indy “Daddy-o” and swinging through the trees with a group of monkeys.

Long before civilians could even buy a Jeep, these iconic vehicles were in use all throughout World War II as light reconnaissance vehicles. Nowadays, the popularity of Jeeps has flown far beyond the battlefield.

From Matt Damon trying to save his beloved to Laura Dern trying to evade a dinosaur, the most recognizable Jeeps from TV and film history are worthy of the vehicle’s long legacy.
