There's a lot of hate for Sword Art Online out there from hardcore gamers, but it's ok to like what you like–and like Sword Art Online. So, here are 5 binge-worthy anime on Hulu if you loved Sword Art Online. These are part of the Ultimate List of Anime You Can Stream.

No, really, it's a badge you should wear proudly because SAO is a good anime, especially for “beginners” and these awesome anime shows on Hulu are fantastic next steps in growing your anime base.

Loads of enjoyable characters, both good and bad, all on the way to a goal that they may or may not reach because who knows when the next season might be dubbed?! LOL!

In all seriousness, though, the need to enjoy some anime action gets under your skin and SAO leads you down the path that these great binge-worthy series will definitely stand up to.

Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Look, I love a good, sweet protagonist that all the girls fawn over. No, really. I mean, it's like they're just asking for all the uncomfortable nose-bleed moments. And they make it so easy.

This story? Super fun, definitely full of monsters ripe for the fighting, and all about the growth of the main protagonist, Bell, as he fights his way from the lowest-ranked adventurer to one of the highest, battling in the labyrinth for the honor of his Goddess Hestia and Familia.

He's just too cute for his own good and his heart so pure–it's like he's the perfect little hero in this adorable white-haired package. Also, it turns out it's not wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon. Not wrong at all. | Stream on Hulu

No Game No Life

A fun action-packed brother-sister team, Zero, pulls off the ultimate heist of winning every game ever in the land they basically and literally win. A combination of world-domination politics, game-play, and awkward moments with the relationships, No Game No Life is seriously fun.

Definitely worth watching if you like a light-hearted anime with a smart twist and a team of protagonists with that you can really empathize. Just give Zero a chance–they'll show you that they're about more than winning underneath their shallow-seeming exteriors. | Stream on Hulu

The Asterisk War

Oh, I just want to live in the world built for students at the school here. Fighting in the Festas to win their desires, the powerful duo of duelers in The Asterisk War is the kind of innocent heartthrob love that makes SAO so sweet and genuine-seeming.

But then you get the epic sword fights, the magic used in battle, and this anime series makes for a crazy good ride all on its own merit. Makes me want to be the pink-haired girl every time. | Stream on Hulu

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord

If you like to choke with laughter at the awkwardness and those classic anime nose-bleed moments, this is a fun romp you do not want to miss. Elements of gameplay are joined-up with unexpectedly deep character development that shows you just how soft-hearted some of those hard-and-fast guys really can be under the surface.

Plus, there's a ton of monsters, problem-solving (both with epic duels and with fun solutions that are out of the box), and a threesome that then becomes a foursome that quickly just becomes the most ridiculous fun over-the-top laugh-fest.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest

It starts out rough. And by rough, I mean REALLY rough. Lots of graphic monster-eating (totally unexpected, right?!) and pushing through a really tough moment of abandonment.

But then the hero turns it around–gains a reason to be a hero and suddenly the worst is the best, albeit with a bad attitude, particularly toward a cute little bunny girl.

But even the relationship with the poor bunny is definitely enjoyable to watch grow and change while they battle monsters together on a quest to beat all of the labyrinths so he can get home with his lady-love (which is not, in fact, the bunny-girl, which is kind of funny, honestly). | Stream on  Hulu
